Update on the O-Scale Train Layout / Columnar Basalt rock work

Here are more images of the construction of the columnar basalt portion of the model railroad. The foam columns carved from foam are coated with diluted spackling and a light texture by stippling the spackling with a sponge. I wanted to add the fine texture detail because I felt the surfaces of the foam were still too smooth and uniform. This texture will really add realism when it comes to painting time.
